What you are putting on your page
Each block below is an <iframe> and a credit line.
The tool runs inside the frame, on our server; your page holds the frame
and nothing else. There is no script of ours in your page, so there is
nothing for you to keep up to date and nothing we can change the
behaviour of after you have installed it.
All four run the same code as the calculators on this site, generated from the same data, so a correction we make lands in your copy the next time a visitor loads it. The code targets these tools work from are the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code figures for Climate Zone 5B, which covers Denver and the Front Range.
According to the International Energy Conservation Code, the 2021 IECC sets a minimum ceiling insulation R-value of R-60 in Climate Zone 5 under Table R402.1.3, and Section R402.2.1 allows R-49 to satisfy that requirement only where the full height of uncompressed R-49 insulation extends over the wall top plate at the eaves.

What you are installing
No JavaScript, no tracking, no cookies
- No JavaScript for you to install. None of the four
blocks contains a
<script>tag. To be exact about what that does and does not mean: the tools themselves are JavaScript, and they run inside the frame in your visitor's browser. What you are not installing is any of our code in your page. If a visitor has scripting turned off, the frame says so and links them to the full tool instead. - No tracking, no analytics, no cookies. The frames set no cookie, load no analytics, and send no pixel. They do not know who your visitor is and do not try to find out.
- No third-party requests. The only network request a frame makes is loading itself from our server. No fonts, no stylesheets, no images, no tag managers — nothing else is fetched.
- No form and no email capture. Your visitor cannot be asked for contact details inside a frame, because there is nothing in there to ask with.
- Everything is computed in the browser. Your visitor's answers are never sent anywhere. If they click through to the full tool, their answers travel in the link they clicked and nowhere else, so they land on a populated tool rather than an empty form.
Attribution
Keep the credit link intact
The credit link is the price. It is the plain
<a> tag under the frame in each block, and it must stay
as it is: a normal, crawlable link pointing at the tool's own page on this
site. Please do not remove it, hide it with CSS, replace it with an image,
move it inside the frame, or add rel="nofollow" to it. That
one link is the whole cost of the tool.
Everything else is yours to fit your layout. Change the height, wrap the block in your own container, restyle the caption's type so it matches your page — all fine.
On heights. Each block ships with the height that
measured largest across every result that tool can produce, at every screen
width from a narrow phone up to a small desktop, with the link back to the
full tool still in view. That is why the four numbers differ. If you want a
shorter frame, set both the height attribute and the inline
height style to the same smaller number — the frame keeps its
own scrollbar, so a long result is reachable rather than cut off. Opening a
“Sources” panel inside a frame can still require a scroll at
narrow widths, at any height worth setting.
Terms, in plain language: you may put these tools on any site you control, for free, for as long as you like, with no permission needed and no notice to us, provided the credit link stays intact and followable. We may change or improve what runs inside the frame. If the link comes out, the permission to embed comes with it.
According to Xcel Energy, to receive a rebate, all insulation and air sealing upgrades must be completed by a participating contractor.
